Adding a Little Luxury to your life for $10 or less

A $3 op-shop sugar bowl, filled with coconut oil sits beside my daughter's bed, for a little night time moisturiser for her face, lips and body. I pop it on my hands after hearing her read, just before I turn out her light each night.

Taking the time to add a little luxury to your day doesn't have to be able spending a shiz load of money, here is a little list of a few ways I treat myself and my loves to a little extra luxury in our home.

Soapy Love

Show yourself and your family some extra love, with some natural, no nasty chemicals hand soap, its one little piece of luxury I try to maintain. Life can be so busy and a little slap dash at times, but nice soap and hand cream is something I take the time for. http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/hands/hand-wash-soap/25376-natural-instinct-natural-hand-wash

Delicious Tea

I generally lean toward luxe, I'm not a brand snob, but I do like nice things. Yet with tea I can't go past Lipton. If I'm out I usually have coffee, but if I do order tea I cringe when I'm asked if English Breakfast is ok. Its never strong enough, and don't get me started on the tea bag on the side. Tea is meant to be brewed! Lipton Intense Black tea, $6.69 Save your money for real luxury, a simple cup of Lipton Intense is my bliss.

Luxe Shower Gel

I do try to limit the crazy cluster fuck of chemicals and crap in our home, Priya Body Wash is free from soap, paraben's, petrochemicals, artificial colours and the general crapola that you just don't want to wash with. I found this at my local Woolies, the "real macadamia oil, with bright bursts of Kakadu plum, fresh fig and cassia bark" is seriously delicious. Not what you'd expect to find at the supermarket, under $9 for a 400ml bottle, it smells amazing and hasn't dried out my skin like other shower gels can.

Hippy Rocks

I discovered the healing power of crystals just a few years ago, and now I have fallen for them. Hook, line and sinker. They have such a special energy and its just nice to have them around.

If you haven't dabbled in crystals before, great one to start with is the rose quartz. The healing power of this baby is mind blowing. I had been sick for days with a cold and nasty fever, I came across my rose quartz heart I bought myself for valentines day {important to treat yourself to self-love, often}. That night I held that stone in my hand; I surrendered and let my mind be free. I woke the next morning feeling better, almost normal.

I've been bouncing around the blogging space and on social blogging since 2007. You may have seen me in my role as a graphic designer and creative director at Notable Imprint, the business I created with my husband. I've blogged at Hello Fleurieu, How Two Thrive with my former biz partner {and still firm friend, Amie Turner} and briefly on Mrs Notable. And now you'll find me here, blogging my heart out, sharing all I love at LouisaG. We grow, we change and evolve, this new space reflects the real me, the me that is stronger for my past, and excited about the future. I have a bright future, one I never imagined because I've made lots of small changes, and these small positive changes have made a big impact on my life.
